Korean Cultural Center is officially opened (May 8)

On May 8, the official opening ceremony of the Korean Cultural Center in Sweden was successfully held. Korean Cultural Center Sweden (Koreanskt Kulturcenter in Swedish) is the first cultural center in Northern European countries.


Han Duck-soo (Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea), Chung Byungwon (Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Sweden), Kim Jangho (Director of Korean Culture and Information), Tobias Billström (Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sweden), Olle Burell (Chairman of Stockholm City Council) and other VIPs attended the opening ceremony.

Our Cultural Center is the 34th Korean cultural center overseas, and it opened 13 years after the Office of cultural attache was deployed at the Korean Embassy in Sweden in 2010. We will plan various cultural events and programs to meet local needs regarding K-Culture and wish to contribute to mutual understanding between Sweden and Korea through culture.
