The Friends of Korea is a civilian delegation dedicated to promoting accurate information about Korea worldwide. We are now recruiting members for the 18th Friends of Korea as follows:

1. Recruitment Details 

- (Eligibility) Individuals aged 18 or older, including both Koreans and foreigners residing in Korea or abroad. 

Foreign applicants must have sufficient proficiency in Korean to participate as a member. 

- (Application Period) February 12, 2025 (Wed) 09:00 – March 4, 2025 (Tue) 17:00 

- (Number of Members / Announcement of Results) Approximately 35 members / March 18, 2025 (Tue) 

The official inauguration ceremony is scheduled for April 2025. 

2. Activity Overview 

- (Activity Period) April – July 2025 (Approximately 4 months) 

- (Main Activities) 

∙︎ Analyzing the distribution of Korea-related information in international media and reporting misinformation 

∙︎ Promoting the Korea Information Service to both Koreans and foreigners 

- (Benefits) 

∙︎ Issuance of an official activity certificate (details to be announced) 

∙︎ Awards, including commendations from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and certificates from the Friends of Korea director for outstanding members 

∙︎ Volunteer hours recognized through the 1365 Volunteer Portal
