Pansori Class 2025

The Korean Cultural Center in Sweden, together with the National Gugak Center, presents a special Pansori class as part of the 2025 Overseas Korean Traditional Music Program. 

Join us for this unique opportunity to experience Korea’s traditional musical storytelling with a master performer! 


■ Program Schedule (4 days per week, 16:30 – 18:30) 

- Course 1: Oct 6 (Mon) – Oct 9 (Thu) / 4 sessions (Total: 8 hours) 

- Course 2: Oct 13 (Mon) – Oct 16 (Thu) / 4 sessions (Total: 8 hours)

*On Thursday, October 16, the final day of the program, there will be special events including a joint performance by participants from both Course 1 and Course 2. Accordingly, the class hours on that day will be adjusted to 18:30 – 20:30.

- Introduction to Pansori 

- Vocal techniques and singing methods of sorikkun (pansori singer) 


■ Instructor: Ms. Soo Hyun Moon 


■ Available seats: 8 per course (Total: 16) 


■ Fee: Free of charge 


■ Venue: Korean Cultural Center in Sweden, M Floor 


■ Notes 

- Classes conducted in English

- Age: 16+ (participants under 16 may join with a guardian)

Pansori is a traditional Korean performing art that combines singing, rhythmic speech, and dramatic expression. Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, it is often described as Korea’s unique form of musical storytelling.
