King Sejong Institute at KCC Sweden is now accepting applications for the Spring 2026 Korean language classes. Please review the information below and register according to the schedule.
■ Class Levels & Schedule
ㅇIntroduction (Choose either one / Duration 5 weeks, Total 15 hours)
▪Hangeul A: Monday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Mar 2 – Mar 30)
▪Hangeul B: Monday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Apr 20 – May 18)
ㅇBeginner (Duration 15 weeks, Total 45 hours)
▪1A-1: Friday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 13 – Jun 5)
▪1B-1: Friday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 20 – Jun 12)
▪2A-1: Thursday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 12 – Jun 4)
▪2B-1: Thursday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 19 – Jun 11)
▪Practical Korean 2: Monday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 9 – Jun 1)
*Practical Korean 2 covers content from Sejong Korean 1A–2B.
ㅇIntermediate (Duration 15 weeks, Total 45 hours)
▪3A-1: Wednesday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 11 – Jun 3)
▪3B-1: Wednesday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 25 – Jun 10)
▪4A-1: Tuesday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 10 – Jun 2)
▪4B-1: Tuesday, 17:30 – 20:00 (Feb 24 – Jun 9)
※ Important Schedule Notes:
▪Start dates differ by class and may change due to internal circumstances.
▪Classes may be canceled if fewer than 5 students enroll.
▪Classes may be suspended on national holidays or leave days.
▪Except for the Introduction and Practical Korean 2, all courses are part of a one-year program. For example, completing Sejong Korean 1A requires attending both Spring 1A-1 and Fall 1A-2 classes.
■ Eligibility
▪Introduction: Anyone aged 15 and above whose native language is not Korean
▪Beginner & Intermediate: Completion of the previous level course, or results from an online level test
*Based on online test results, a final level will be determined after an interview (in-person) with a teacher. Interview schedules will be provided to selected candidates.

■ Application Timeline

▪Speaking Interview (for selected applicants only): After February 4, 2026
■ Online Level Test (for eligible applicants)
1. Visit the “Online Sejong Institute” website, create an account, and take the level test: www.iksi.or.kr
Login → Click the “Online KSI Info” banner → Click “Korean Level Test” to start.
2. Indicate your level test score on the application form.
3. Follow the instructions sent via email to schedule a speaking interview with a teacher. After the interview, your final level will be confirmed. (Interview schedule will be provided individually)

•Selection is based on applicants’ motivation to register, in order to ensure fairness and reduce last-minute cancellations.
•All classes are primarily conducted in Korean, and English explanations may be provided only when necessary.

■ Class Descriptions
• Introduction
For absolute beginners with no prior Korean experience. Students will learn the Korean alphabet (Hangeul), develop the ability to read and write basic Korean words.
•Sejong Korean 1A–2B (Beginner)
Designed for learners who have mastered the basic Korean alphabet, this course focuses on essential grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structures. Students will practice simple conversations in everyday situations, including asking for directions, ordering food, shopping, and talking about daily routines. Reading and writing short texts are introduced to strengthen comprehension.
•Sejong Korean 3A–4B (Intermediate)
This course is for learners with a solid elementary foundation. It emphasizes more complex grammar and richer vocabulary. Students develop conversational skills in various contexts, including travel, work, and social interactions. Reading and writing longer texts, understanding short articles, and expressing opinions clearly are key objectives. Practical listening and speaking activities prepare students for real-life communication.
■ Completion Requirements
•Attend at least 70% of classes
•Achieve a score of 60% or higher on the final assessment
* The final assessment is conducted at the last class of each level. For example, the 1A final assessment is held in the Fall 1A-2 class.
