Immerse yourself in the sounds of Korea through the gayageum! Learn the basics of the gayageum, a traditional Korean zither, and experience Korean music through a selection of traditional and contemporary songs. No previous experience is required. Participants will learn basic playing techniques and explore Korean music through the following songs:

* Arirang (아리랑)

* You and Me (너영나영) – Jeju folk song

* Autumn Morning (가을아침) – IU

* Eolssiguya (얼씨구야) – Korean subway music

Dates: 3, 10, 24 & 31 October 2026 (Saturdays)

Time: 10:00–12:00

Venue: Korean Cultural Center in Sweden

Instructor : Chaeyeon Lee (이채연)

Chaeyeon Lee graduated from Korea National University of Arts in Korea, where she studied Korean traditional music and gayageum. She has studied the gayageum since 2010. She also studied contemporary traditional music and fine arts at the University of Gothenburg as an exchange student. She has performed at various venues and events in Sweden, including Blå Stället, Kungsträdgården and Gothia Towers.
